Job Title: PostgreSQL Database Developer

Position Description:
This position will work as a part of a small DB group to support E2E application and database development from requirements analysis and design through implementation and maintenance.

Job Location: Work must be done on-site in the Rockville, MD office. (core hours with some flexibility)

Job Duration: 6-12+ months contract to start with potential for on-going renewals.

Required Skills and Experience:

5+ years of hands-on Application and Database Development, including a strong understanding of performance analysis, tuning and optimization
Strong PostgreSQL pgSQL skills.
Experience with Postgres 9.x/10.x in a UNIX environment.
3+ years of UNIX shell scripting experience.
Must be familiar with, and stay current with, industry best practices and trends related to database design/development.
Must be available to assist in an on-call rotation.
AWS RDS experience is a plus
Oracle PL/SQL experience is strongly preferred
Experience working on an Agile/Scrum application team is preferred
