| Overview: |
|
- Plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems
- Decomposing high-level business and user requirements by partnering with key stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and develop functional requirements
- Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions (e.g., requirement gathering and detailing workshops, Use Case modeling workshops, and Entity Relationship Modeling workshops)
- Defining quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements
- Manage changes to baseline requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools

| Required Skills: |
|
- 4+ years experience in business analysis, requirements definition, building systems solutions and deployment of business requirements to information systems
- Understands and has experience with UML methodology
- Experience in documenting Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Class Diagrams, and Process Flows
- Experience with SQL is a plus
- Experience working with Requirements Tools (experience with Caliber is a plus)
- Strong writing, negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Experience in healthcare payor industry is a plus

- Bachelor's degree in a business or technology related area
- A minimum of 6 years experience as a business analyst
- Experience in healthcare a strong plus
- A minimum 3 years experience as a business analyst within software development
- Ability to integrate technology and business processes
- Must be familiar with MS Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word
- Must have experience utilizing process flow and architectural design software such as Rational Rose and/or ProVision
- Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills interfacing with management
- Must be able to work in a team environment and work well under pressure
- Must have strong understanding of project management and lifecycle management
