At SES our most treasured asset is our people, and we go to great lengths to take care of them. To demonstrate our commitment to providing a secure and enjoyable work environment for our staff, SES designed and developed the employee benefits program.
SES contributes $261 per month to each new employee's insurance premiums for medical, dental and vision coverage. SES increases the amount of contribution over a graduated scale based on completed years of service. At the completion of year five, SES pays 100% of the employee's Group Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage. The SES Healthcare Benefit Plan is a Flexible Cafeteria Plan, allowing you to decide how to use the employer contribution. You don't have to use that money for benefits you do not need. The following is a summary of the SES employee benefits program:
Group Medical
The SES Group Medical Plan is a part of the Flexible Cafeteria Plan. Staff members have the option of choosing an HMO, POS, or out-of-network coverage. There are no claim forms to mess with. The plan has a very large network of eligible physicians and hospitals on the network letting you choose where you should be treated. The HMO plan is an Open Access plan allowing you to use a specialist on the network without a referral. SES's group medical coverage provides flexibility, choice, and security for you and your family.
Prescription Drug Card
To minimize paperwork, your medical insurance card serves as a prescription drug card. This card is accepted at most major pharmacies and many smaller local pharmacies as well. The cost for prescriptions has graduated co-pays with generic brands being as little as $15 per prescription. The SES Prescription Drug Plan provides a low-cost, convenient, paperless solution to your pharmacy needs.
Group Dental
SES offers Group Dental Insurance on the Flexible Cafeteria Plan. You can customize your plan according to your needs. The Low Option plan provides for the basic dental service including cleanings, check ups, fillings and x-rays. Preventative coverage is 100%. Basic dental service coverage is 80%. The Low Option has a low monthly cost, and has a yearly maximum of $1,000. The High Option covers the major restorative care at 50%, and increases the maximum to $1,500 per year. The plan covers services provided by any licensed dentist and therefore provides you with a wide variety of choices for your dental needs. SES Group Dental coverage provides all the basic and preventative services you need, without the worry of escalating dental bills.
Vision Service Plan (VSP)
To protect your eyesight and provide preventive maintenance against future problems, SES developed the Vision Service Plan (VSP). Vision insurance is also included on the Flexible Cafeteria Plan. Eye exams have $10 co-pay, frames and lenses have $25 co-pay, and contact lenses cost up to $105 when a VSP Participating Provider is used. Medically necessary contact lenses are covered at 100%. Reimbursement from VSP for services from a non-participating provider ranges from $35 up to $80. The SES Vision Service Plan protects your eyesight and minimizes the cost of your vision care.
Group Life
SES pays 100% of the premium for all staff members for life insurance coverage at 1 x your annual salary. This plan will also allow you to purchase Supplemental Life Insurance Coverage for yourself, your spouse and your children at low group rates through regular payroll deductions. SES' Group Life coverage provides financial security and peace of mind to you and your family in case of an unforeseen tragedy.
Group Disability
SES pays 100% of the premium for Short and Long Term Disability insurance coverage to provide financial support in the event you become disabled. SES' Group Disability coverage provides security for your family until you can return to work.
401(k) Plan
To provide our staff with pre-tax savings for retirement, SES developed the 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan and Trust. After the first month of service with the firm, you are eligible to enroll; and at the beginning of the quarter following enrollment, a portion of your income may be sheltered in the SES 401(k). Open enrollment in the SES 401(k) plan takes place on the first day of each quarter. The company may post a discretionary profit sharing contribution during profitable periods to participating staff members who have completed one year of service. See the SPD for details and vesting schedules. The SES 401(k) Plan: Tax deferred savings and long-term financial security for your future.
Flexible Spending Plan
Staff members may elect to participate in the SES flexible spending plan. This plan provides a way to save tax-free dollars to pay for qualified out-of-pocket health care and dependent care expenses. The SES Flexible Spending Plan reduces taxes and provides a more cost effective method for paying for your child care and other qualified out-of-pocket expenses.
Vacation, Holidays and Sick Time
All new staff members accrue 80 hours paid vacation annually. SES pays for 40 hours of accrued sick leave annually, 6 paid legal holidays and 2 accrued optional holidays, to be used at your personal discretion each year. All unused vacation and sick time by the technical staff is paid at year end. The SES Vacation, Holiday and Sick Time policy provides you the personal time to relax and get well, or the additional income to stay well and work.
Tuition Reimbursement
SES recognizes the value of formal education. To support our staff members in this personal and professional endeavor, a liberal Tuition Reimbursement program is provided for all undergraduate and graduate level courses. Staff members may be reimbursed up to $2,000 per year for qualified courses. The SES Tuition Reimbursement program pays you to learn new skills, grow into more challenging roles, and advance your career.
Auto Expenses
At SES we recognize the expense and frustration related to commuting to work. To prevent out-of-pocket expenses related to commuting to the client site, all benefited technical staff members on assignment are reimbursed eligible Mileage and Parking expenses. Eligible mileage is reimbursed at 20 cents per mile and parking is reimbursed 100%. Some IRS restrictions apply. At SES, it pays to commute!
Maternity and Paternity Leave
The arrival of a new family member is the most important time in a parent's life. To provide additional time to bond with their new arrival and additional rest from many sleepless nights, the SES Maternity and Paternity Leave program was developed. All SES new mothers are entitled to 6 weeks of maternity leave. The first 3 weeks are considered paid leave, and the remaining 3 weeks are considered a combination of vacation, sick leave, and/or leave without pay. One week of paid paternity leave is provided for all SES new fathers. SES' Maternity and Paternity Leave program reflects our commitment to family values and allows you to spend important time with your new family member.
