Benefits

At SES our most treasured asset is our people, and we go to great lengths to take care of them. To demonstrate our commitment to providing a secure and enjoyable work environment for our staff, SES designed and developed the "Care Program" which is our employee benefits program.

SES contributes 80% to each new employee's insurance premiums per month for medical, dental and vision coverage. SES increases the amount of contribution over a graduated scale based on completed years of service. At the completion of year five, SES pays 100% of the employee's Group Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage. SES is committed to providing excellent health care insurance plans for all staff members.

Group Medical:

The SES Group Medical Plan is a part of a Flexible Cafeteria Plan. Our insurance Provider, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, is a leading provider of healthcare coverage nationwide with the largest network of eligible physicians, hospitals and other healthcare providers, letting you choose where you should be treated. There are no claim forms to mess with. We offer the High Deductible HSA Plan to all employees with an option to buy up to the premium PPO plan. An additional HMO plan is available to Virginia residents. All of our plans, HSA, PPO and HMO, are Open Access; which means there is no requirement for a referral to an in-network specialist, plus all plans allow for out-of-network coverage by satisfying an additional deductible and co-insurance.

Prescription Drug Card:

To minimize paperwork, your medical insurance card serves as a prescription drug card. This card is accepted at most major pharmacies and many smaller local pharmacies as well. The cost for prescriptions has graduated co-pays with generic brands being as little as $15 per prescription.

Group Dental:

SES offers Group Dental Insurance on the Flexible Cafeteria Plan. You can customize your plan according to your needs. SES utilizes the MetLife Dental plan which has a large network of providers. The plan allows for both in-network and out-of-network coverage, however, the level of coverage when using a network provider is significantly better than that of a non-network provider. You have a choice of a High or Low option plan.

Group Vision:

To protect your eyesight and provide preventive maintenance against future problems, SES offers vision insurance as part of our Anthem medical coverage. The Anthem vision benefit offers yearly eye exams for low in-network $15 co-pay, frames have a $130 allowance plus a 20% discount, and standard lenses has a $15 co-pay. For contact lenses our vision plan provides a $130 allowance plus 15% discount when a participating provider is used. In addition to the Anthem Vision plan MetLife offers a substantial vision discount program to SES employees.

Group Life:

SES pays 100% of the premium for all staff members for life insurance coverage at 1 x your annual salary. This plan will also allow you to purchase Supplemental Life Insurance Coverage for yourself, your spouse and your children at low group rates through regular payroll deductions.

Group Disability:

SES pays 100% of the premium for Short and Long Term Disability insurance coverage to provide financial support in the event you become disabled. SES' Group Disability coverage provides security for your family until you can return to work.

Health Savings Account:

SES offers a Health Savings Account plan for those enrolling in the High Deductible HSA Medical Plan. Members can put away pre-taxed contributions into the plan to cover qualified out-of-pocket healthcare expenses. SES pays the enrollment and administration fees for active members and will match your contribution up to $100 per month.

Flexible Spending Plan:

For those not electing the High Deductible HSA medical option SES offers as part of the Flexible Cafeteria Plan; a flexible spending plan "FSA" that allows members to put away pre-taxed contributions to pay for qualified out-of-pocket healthcare expenses. SES also offers for all staff a dependent care FSA for qualified dependent care expenses. SES pays the enrollment and administration fees for all FSA members.

401(k) Plan:

To provide our staff with pre-tax savings for retirement, SES developed the 401(k) Plan and Trust. After the first month of service with the firm, you are eligible to enroll; and at the beginning of the quarter following enrollment, a portion of your income may be sheltered in the SES 401(k).

Vacation, Holidays and Sick Time:

All new staff members accrue 80 hours paid vacation annually. SES pays employees for 24 hours of accrued sick leave during the first two years of service, with an increase of days as your tenure with company increases. Staffs also are given 6 paid legal holidays and 2 accrued optional holidays, to be used at your personal discretion each year. All unused vacation and sick time for the technical staff is paid at year end.

Tuition Reimbursement:

SES recognizes the value of formal education. To support our staff members in this personal and professional endeavor, a liberal Tuition Reimbursement program is provided for all undergraduate and graduate level courses. Staff members may be reimbursed up to $1,000 per year for qualified courses during the first two years of employment. The benefit increases to $2,000 per year after year two with the company, and increases to $3,000 after the completion of 5 years with the company. The SES Tuition Reimbursement program pays you to learn new skills.

Auto Expenses:

At SES we recognize the expense and frustration related to commuting to work. To prevent out-of-pocket expenses related to commuting to the client site, all benefited technical staff members on assignment are reimbursed for eligible Mileage and Parking expenses. Eligible mileage is reimbursed at 20 cents per mile and parking is reimbursed 100%. Some IRS restrictions apply.

Maternity and Paternity Leave:

After completing the first two years of employment with SES, staff members are given an additional benefit for Maternity and Paternity Leave. The arrival of a new family member is the most important time in a parent's life. The SES Maternity and Paternity Leave program was developed to provide additional time to bond with the new arrival and to allow time for additional rest from many sleepless nights. All SES new mothers are entitled to 6 weeks of maternity leave. The first 3 weeks are considered paid maternity leave, and the remaining 3 weeks can be taken using a combination of vacation, sick leave, and/or leave without pay. One week of paid paternity leave is provided for all SES new fathers.
